I have been working as a locum tenens physician since 2002. During that time I have worked with 4 or 5 different agencies and I have found that SUMO is head and shoulders above the rest. They do listen to my requests and go out of their way to find what I am looking for. An example of that goes back to this last year. I was working in Oregon but was having some issues with my current job. My recruiter remembered that I had family in Illinois and asked me if I would be interested in doing some locums work in that state. My license was not current but the SUMO staff helped me through the process in reinstating the license.
After a few short months of working in IL I fell in love with the place and ended up taking a permanent position with this client. This would have never happened if my recruiter did not truly listen to me and knew what I wanted.
I feel that many locum companies are in it for the wrong reason but I never get that feeling in working with SUMO and I would and do highly recommend them to all my colleagues and friends.
