 Sumo Medical Staffing is recruiting for an experienced Psychiatrist to work outpatient locum shifts in Syracuse, New York (NY) Starting in August, the role offers ongoing work each month with a competitive market rate and benefits.

The Psychiatry role:

40 Hours a week Monday - Friday

8:30am-5:00pm

Adult—-Inpatient

Hutchings NY Central NY Region

3 years post graduate experience required. Adult medium to long term inpatient facility. One unit with 3 floors, may require use of stairs. Also may require occasional cross coverage of adjoining unit. Patient load is generally 10-16 patients, with average of 12 patients per provider. Will work with 3 other psychiatric practitioners, within a multidisciplinary team.  

 

This is a bid process: Bid due date: 08/05/2025 at 3 PM EST.

 

REQUIRED:

NY state license; active, unrestricted

Board Certified-Psychiatry

1 Yr Minimum Forensic

Enrolled with NY Medicaid

Minimum 1-2 years post residency experience. 1 yr minimum forensic experience. Volunteer/teaching will be considered toward the experience requirement.
