General Surgery locum position in Green Brier, West Virginia (WV)
SumoSumo Medical Staffing is recruiting for an experienced General Surgeon to work locum shifts in Ronceverte, West Virginia (WV) Starting in October to cover critical dates, the role offers ongoing work with a competitive market rate and benefits.
Details
24-hour hospital call coverage (7:00 AM – 7:00 AM)
Potential for Level I trauma call
• Management of emergent surgical cases, including but not limited to:
- appendectomy, cholecystectomy, endoscopy (upper/lower), GI bleeds, food bolus removal
- Perform procedures: chest tube placement, PICC lines, I&D
- Handle general surgery cases as needed
- Evaluate and stabilize trauma/accident cases; coordinate transfers
- Conduct inpatient rounding and consultations
Critical Dates:
- October 31, 2025, 7:00 AM – November 1, 2025, 7:00 AM
- November 26, 2025, 7:00 AM – November 28, 2025, 7:00 AM
EMR: McKesson
REQUIRED:
WV license; active, unrestricted
