Orthopedic Surgery locum position in Hood River, Oregon (OR)
Sumo Medical Staffing is recruiting for an experienced Orthopaedic Surgeon to work locum shifts in Hood River, Oregon (OR) Starting October or as soon as credentialed, the role offers ongoing work each month with a competitive market rate and benefits.
The Orthopaedic Surgery role:
Seeking locum tenens Orthopedic Surgery coverage starting in October or as soon as credentialed with ongoing availability. This is a 24-hour call position with a mix of ED and clinic responsibilities.
Schedule and Details:
- 24-hour call shifts | 7:00 AM–7:00 AM
- ED call during the day (consults, rounding, admissions)
- Clinic call at night (primarily phone-based)
- Must stay within 30 minutes of the hospital
- Trauma Level : II
Current Open Dates:
- October 1–2, 7, 10–12, 14–20, 22–23, 27–30
- Additional dates for November and December coming soon
- Potential for ongoing coverage into 2026
Required Skills:
Proficiency in general orthopedic cases, both surgical and non-surgical. Experience with hip and knee fracture repair is preferred. Total hip joint procedures are not required but are a plus for fracture management. Hand surgery experience is also preferred.
EMR: EPIC
REQUIRED:
· OR state license; active, unrestricted
· Board Certified-- Orthopedic Surgery
· BLS,
· Credentialing process (approx 60 days)
