NP/PA Trauma Surgery locum need in Billings, Montana (MT)
Sumo Medical Staffing is recruiting for an experienced NP/PA in Trauma/Surgery to work locum shifts inBillings, Montana. The role offers ongoing work with a competitive market rate and benefits.
TheTrauma Role:
Trauma Provider – Night Shifts (Level 1 Trauma Center)
Dates:
- August 26–30: 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM
- August 31: 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM
- Additional dates to follow
Responsibilities:
- Manage admitted trauma patients (5–10 per shift)
- Daily rounding with trauma surgeon
- Write progress notes and monitor diagnostics
- Respond to nursing calls/pages
- Collaborate with other specialties as needed
- Be present for trauma arrivals in the ED
- Assist with procedures (e.g., chest tube insertions, suturing/stapling lacerations) – surgeon always present
Setting:
- Level 1 Trauma Center
- High-acuity environment requiring strong clinical judgment and teamwork
Requirements of the Trauma Role:
- MT state license; active, unrestricted
- Board certified
